Cursed Emojis and Cursed Emojis Lite

This policy covers the Cursed Emojis and Cursed Emojis Lite apps for iPhone, including their iMessage sticker apps and keyboard (together, "the apps").
There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Everything in the apps works offline except one feature: "Make your own emoji", in the full Cursed Emojis app, which sends the few words you type to our server so an emoji can be drawn for you. Cursed Emojis Lite does not have that feature and does not connect to our server at all.
When you tap "Make it", the app sends two things to our server:
Your description is used to draw the emoji. The drawing is done by Google's Gemini image model, which receives the words you typed and nothing else — not the device identifier, and nothing about you. Google's handling of that request is covered by their own terms; we do not give them any information that identifies you.
The emoji itself is sent to your iPhone and is not kept on our server — the copy used to make it is deleted as soon as it has been sent to you.
What we do keep is the words you typed and a count of how many credits the device has left and has used. The words are what let you re-roll an emoji you did not like; the count is what stops your credits disappearing. We do not keep anything else, and none of it is linked to a name, an email address or an account, because there isn't one.
There is a filter on what can be made. It checks the words you typed against a list of things we will not draw, and that check happens on our server.
We never see your photos or your camera. The feature works from typed words only.
Emoji credits are bought through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple handles the payment: we never see your card details, your billing address or your Apple Account.
After a purchase, the app sends us the transaction identifier Apple gave it, and we ask Apple what that transaction was so the right number of credits can be added. We store that transaction identifier so the same purchase cannot be redeemed twice.
The emojis you make are saved on your iPhone so they can appear in your keyboard and in the Stickers drawer. Deleting one in the app deletes the file from your iPhone.
The apps also save two small settings on your device only: whether you have dismissed the "How to send emojis" card, and whether the keyboard has Full Access, so the app can show the right setup steps.
The keyboard lets you send emojis in any app. iOS asks you to allow "Full Access" before a keyboard can place an image on the clipboard; the keyboard uses Full Access only to copy the emoji you tap so you can paste it. It does not record, store or transmit anything you type, and it does not connect to the internet.
When you send an emoji, it is sent by Apple's Messages app like any other message. We never see your conversations or who you message.
Like any website or app server, ours records the usual technical details of a request, including the IP address it came from, so faults and abuse can be dealt with. These logs are kept briefly and are not used to build a profile of anyone.
Deleting the app removes the emojis and settings held on your iPhone.
To have what is held on our server deleted — your descriptions and the credit record — email cursedemojisapp@gmail.com from any address and say so; we will need the device identifier, which you can copy from the bottom of the app's "Make your own" screen. Deleting it also deletes any unused credits, which cannot be restored afterwards.
There are no accounts and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above.
